CEP Goals

The Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) is comprised of a set of goals that acts as a blueprint for the school year.  Each goal is created to help strengthen the entire school community by setting concrete, measurable goals.  The CEP goals for the 2024-2025 school year are:

Goal 1: By June, 2025, literacy for All Students will improve, as measured by a 10% increase, from 44 to 54, the percentage of students scoring at or above proficiency on the 2025 NYS ELA Exam.

Goal 2: By May, 2025, physical and mental wellness for All Students will improve, as measured by a 10 percentage points Increase, in the shared and inclusive curriculum portion of the NYC Student Perception Survey from 30% to 40%.

Goal 3: By June, 2025, the Students scoring a level 3 or 4 will Increase by 10% from 48 to 58, for All Students, as measured by NYS Math Exam

Goal 4: By June, 2025, the percentage of seventh grade students who demonstrate a clear understanding of the college experience and realistic expectation of how to reach career goals will Increase by 45 percentage points from 35% to 80% as measured by School created college and careers survey

Goal 5:  By June, 2025, the Average Number of acknowledgements to PS 83 Instagram posts will Increase by 100% from 35 to 70 as measured by "likes" from families that both have and do not yet have students in PS 83.
